We are looking for a detail-oriented and efficient Payroll Administrator for our client in the pharmaceutical industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for processing payroll for approximately 1,700 employees, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in all payroll-related activities..
About position
- Type of employment: Agency Worker full time role; 40 hours per week
- Target start date: as soon as possible,
- Lenght of the contract: 1 year (potentially extension)
- Remote position or from the office? Flexible, remote option is possible.
- Languages: English (fluent)
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately and timely process monthly payroll by checking data on the Workday interface daily.
- Handle starter and leaver information not available on the Workday system.
- Input manual pay instructions and process statutory/contractual Maternity, Paternity, Adoption, and Sick Pay.
- Monitor tax codes, benefits, and assist with In/Ex Pat pay processing.
- Ensure accurate processing of car and fuel benefits, including P46(car) and P11D submissions.
- Prepare payroll remittances for payments to third parties and payroll-related journals.
- Assist in reconciling payroll control accounts and maintain employee personal data on the P11D system.
- Send out P45s, final payslips, and manage electronic payroll and pension reports.
- Handle ad-hoc queries, both written and by phone.
Qualifications and Skills Required

- Excellent numeracy and literacy skills.
- Excellent IT skills, especially MS Excel, Word and Outlook.
- Sound knowledge of accounting basics.
- Good time management and ability to meet strict deadlines.
- Organised and methodical approach, with logical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- A high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to use own initiative.
- Good communication skills, both written and oral. Ability to work well within a team.
